Re: 2010 Vintage Karting Event At Batavia NY
Rob, I know that you, Bob and I talked about my approaching Avon for an event when I was at TBO. Since then I have found that the Batavia track is very vintage friendly and with Mike S. being a member of the club there it seemed like a good fit and I actually think the Batavia track is more fun than...

Re: 2010 Vintage Karting Event At Batavia NY
Russ, Maybe you misunderstood my original post. I am only trying to see if there is anyone interested in having a vintage event at Batavia next year. I think I was clear that nothing is scheduled yet and the club schedule won't even be determined until the first quarter of 2010. Personally I am conf...

Re: whats a good black wrinkle paint match for the mccullochs?
Dave,
Here is an example of the kind of finish I get with the Eastwood product. I found the best application method is 3 medium coats then in the oven at 150degrees until the wrinkle is uniform. Longer if you want it to cure also.
I think it looks real nice.

Re: 2010 Vintage Karting Event At Batavia NY
Yup, the very same Batavia from 30 years ago with a big downhill extension on one end and 2 monza banked turns added on the other end. It is a really fun track to drive. I will try to get a link of a video on here of a couple of us chasing each other around the track on a play day last month. We hav...

Re: 2010 Vintage Karting Event At Batavia NY
Thanks Rick, We will try our best not to schedule it on a weekend where any other regional vintage events are taking place. A lot will depend on the Batavia Kart Club schedule though and we will have to take a weekend when the track is free. We will do our best. You are right though, a lot is going ...

2010 Vintage Karting Event At Batavia NY
Hi, A few of us guys/gals here in NY (and Ohio) would like to have a vintage karting event at the Batavia track in upstate NY. Next season the track will be available for a couple weekends because the local modern club will be traveling next year. It is a great track with different elevations, long ...

Re: Photos
Yes, I am very happy with the magazine cover, very sharp.
I am planing on ordering a few other shots. The quality is fantastic, these people are real pros.
Also, thanks Chris for doing the cover for me, very nice gift.

Re: whats a good black wrinkle paint match for the mccullochs?
Hi Dave, I don't really know what the originals look like but I have done a bunch with Eastwood wrinkle finish black. The finish comes out real nice as long as you get enough material on there which is hard to do without getting runs and drips but with some practice I can get a real nice job. The fi...

Re: mc6
Nice Mc6, hang on to it. I ran my Mc6 on my R1 kart at the Big One two weeks ago. It is a hot little engine. Production dates were 6/1960 to 10/1961 but is was probably sold for longer than that. Original price $99.95. What did you pay?
Have fun,
