91B alum Rods
I have two Mac 91B engines that have alum rods in them. Who made these and where they any good? The beams seem to look like a Carrilo rod used in car engines. Not sure I want to use them? Any info????

I wonder how they ever came up with the raised square lips on the top intake transfer ports on the 90 series and above? What was their thinking?

Re: Which spark plug for WB580/700?
E3 plugs are JUNK!!! Do not buy one.
I bought one for my MAC weed eater and the plug was threaded out of round and wobbled when trying to screw it in and wouldnt seal. Poor quality even if you get one that is true. Get you a Champion plug.

Re: Mc9 cylinder hone question...
Use a heat gun on high on the ring area if you want to break them loose. Same on the wrist pin bearings if they are froze also. Never use a ball hone deglazer or the spring loaded 3 stone hones in a 2-cycle unless you really want to mess that cylinder up. The Ball Hone deglazer will snag the ports a...

Re: weekend schedule
Rick, You better hand Randy a Guide to McCulloch Engines because at Road Atlanta 2 years ago on the grid he asked what kind of engine was on my kart and he was serious. It was a Mac 91B1......Now I know he's not that dumb but he sure came across that way.

Re: Was it common back in the day for.....
Rob, I have had several of the short green wired condesors to break off the bracket while at speed. I have not had any problems the the long condensor. I now put a bead of silcone on the bracket and condensor where they meet to prevent this from occuring again. I would not try to bond the broken one...
