Re: need more suggestions for carb
Some carbs can't pull all of the air in the line and get the fuel to the carb. On our 4 cycle engines with a remote fuel tank sitting on the floor pan and a fuel pump half way between the tank and the carb it has a hard time priming the pump. We put a piece of fuel line over the vent on the fuel tan...

Re: gears for Barnsville?
Maybe this will help. Kerry Wilson did this for us several years ago. It is still valid. Front straight length = 348 feet Back straight length = 491 feet Total track length = 1385 feet or 0.26 miles. I also measured the track length using the middle of the track all the way around and it measured 14...

Re: gears for Barnsville?
Good starting point is a 9-62. Depending on tire circumference and your weight it could vary up or down a couple of teeth and how hard you want to turn your Macs. I ran a 62 or 63 and it would turn my 91A or 92 around 10500 give or take a few RPM.

Re: Gear Ratio For Barnesville, GA.
Single Mac with 350 lbs total weight can carry a 6.50 gear ratio. Twins can run a 6.40 gear. For the more robust racer like Dan a 7.00 -7.20 is better. Track length is ---------- Front straight length = 348 feet Back straight length = 491 feet Total track length = 1385 feet or 0.26 miles. Hope this ...

68 Dart Chaparral. Missing the fiberglass Nassau panel. Has drum brake just like mine had. I've had mine for 40 years since it was new.

Re: frame i.d please
First picture looks like one a friend of mine picked last summer. Steering is offset to the left and 2 bearing rear axle although yours are missing. Look in the right front spindle mount. His has LT16 and a serial number. Suppose to be the 16 Kart design from Margay is what we could find out.

Re: Vintage Expansion Chambers
This is a Gem generation 2 with a baffle insert. This is what I had to put on mine in 69 after my aluminum one got destroyed racing at Barnesville. The stinger got torn off of the aluminum one and also the track owner said that mine was to loud. The gen 2 is made out of steel. http://i2.photobucket.c...
