Re: Butchered Margay New Breed Sprint, prepare to cringe!
That table is nice! It looks to be made up of two car engine stands joined by a simple tabletop. Great idea!

Wow, it sounds like you've done this a time or two. Thank you! Is there a preference on the type of welding? I am fortunate to have a neighbor who welds for a living. He is highly skilled in rod welding, mig and heli-arc/tig. Im sure he will know exactly what to do when I pass on this information.

Got it down to the original yellow paint! Thank goodness for poor paint prep. I was able to remove all the layers with my commercial pressure washer.

Re: Butchered Margay New Breed Sprint, prepare to cringe!
Thanks for the suggestion! I agree replacing the rails would be fairly straightforward given the simplicity of the frames design. I had actually given this idea some thought prior to your post, in part, but I hadn't considered changing the whole rail. I noticed that the the frame is perfect until ju...

Re: Butchered Margay New Breed Sprint, prepare to cringe!
I hear you loud and clear! I'm not quite ready to call it's time of death just yet but if it does come to that, i wont be out any money and I have already learned a lot. No matter what the outcome, I'll have no regrets. The frame does have a bit of sag but the good news is that all the grinder marks...

Re: In search of Margay New Breed parts. Anything and everything!
Thanks for the tip man! I managed to track it down last night and while I think it started life as a new breed, there is nothing left but the rear wheels. Someone went through a lot of trouble to destroy that poor kart. I'm not sure how rare they are but it looks like it was a dedicated sidewinder w...

In search of Margay New Breed parts. Anything and everything!
Like the title states, I need new breed parts. I am in the process of bringing a very neglected and mutilated new breed sprint back to life and need a lot of parts to make it whole. Right now I am on the hunt for the later style seat frame and fiberglass bucket....or dimensions and detailed pics of ...

Re: Butchered Margay New Breed Sprint, prepare to cringe!
Thanks for the advise good sir! Any suggestions on low spots that already exist? I was thinking about using j.b. weld putty as a filler for a couple of small notches and regular old body filler for the spots they hit with a grinder. While we are talking about the frame, I noticed last night that the...

Re: Butchered Margay New Breed Sprint, prepare to cringe!
Made some progress tonight. Everything is rough cut but atleast it is on its way back to factory form!
Also, I guess I should be happy to have the original front wheels. Unfortunately, I will need to source a set of rears..
