Very sad news, indeed. I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy at the Adams track in Riverside, CA years ago. One of the greats. RIP Mr. Yamane.

I feel funny asking thjis because I've been around Vintage karts for quite awhile but....................what is the difference between a "Super" like an MC30 and one "regular"(?) like an Mc7?

Your Kart is a Simplex MK I. I have seen them converted to open live axle using Azusa parts. However, you'd be cutting up a cool original kart.
