Re: Tucson Vintage Playdays November 4,5,6th 2022
Dean, the Photon just needs wiping down, but getting alky and getting the kart to the track is the hard part. I don't think Ron needs to be lifting, and I can't any more. TJ

Sure hoping the health holds up, Dean. Anybody in Cali, AZ, NM, ID or TX that misses it is gonna miss a good time. Ted

Re: Repop Azusa Velocity Stacks
Also, Rick is open to suggestions. I had told him that the repop West Bend mount side plates didn't have slots long enough to allow full chain adjustment, so he offers them now with the longer slots. They work great, and Rick's quality is very good. He's a first rate supplier. We could use more like...

Re: Repop Azusa Velocity Stacks
Why not just get some from Ricksrelics on eBay? Rick has plenty, and his stuff is good. TJ

195005869468 Here's another guy trying to rip off the VK community by selling a mucked up Mc20 with incorrect manifold, painted shroud, painted carb, wrong exhaust, and God knows what else, selling as "ORIGINAL" for five times what it is worth. I'm sure Bill M. did a fine job refurbing the engine fo...

Re: Starter for MAC93 pulley
Rob, that was the reason I bought the "Siamese" Coleman. If I had kept the duals on the Van Tech, I'd have needed to start them both from outside of the kart. There was JUST enough room between engines to get a belt in there, but it was a bit dicey getting the belt out after starting the right side ...

Re: Starter for MAC93 pulley
Scott, the "stick" starters are very easy and convenient to use, but a good one, such as Coleman, has a way to screw or otherwise retain the starter socket. It's no fun chasing a socket fifty feet down the pits! Ted

spindles and hangers
We're designing a fresh kart. We're looking for rear steer spindles, 7 to 9 degrees kingpin inclination. We'll use 12 degrees of caster. ) to 1 degree negative camber. We need the chassis hangers for these. Need quality parts, 5/8" axles, long enough for Series I, 5" Go Power wheels, and drilled for...

Re: Starter for MAC93 pulley
Scott, you CAN start a '91 with a recoil starter, but it can really be a chore. There are often electric belt starters on eBay and other forums. Either a hand held, or the more common one with starter and battery on a two wheeled cart BE SURE THE ROTATION IS CORRECT for your engine!! The better way ...

Re: Remember getting to the track this way?
Dean, we only drove a kart in a wagon one time. My '58 Bug dead axle in Mom's '57 Plymouth wagon from our place in West Melbourne, FL, to the old Tico airport South of Titusville. About 50 miles each way. We got there, drove the kart maybe ten minutes and got a flat rear tire. My Bud, Jerry and I pu...
