Re: Wanted Nylite wheels
Steve, Had exactly the same problem, machined about 1-1.5mm off the inside of the rim halves and they fit great now, was a little dubious but seems to be adequate thickness there. Maybe some batches of tyres have slightly different inside diameters as I have seen cast alloy wheels with the same prob...

Re: Wanted Nylite wheels
Jeff, Kelite wheels are currently being manufactured in NZ by Sheppards Wheels in 4" and 5" sizes. They are inexpensive but require a little machining to match standard kart axle configuration. Kelites are almost identical to Nylites, they are a little whiter than the old Nylites. Have done two meet...

Re: SAE Fuel Tank
Thanks Rob, that's the way it looked to me but I imagined that it wouldn't take long for the mounting rim on the tank to crack.

SAE Fuel Tank
Need help in mounting a half round seat back tank to the steering column support of an SAE kart.
From photos it appears the tanks are fixed by 2 bolts only through the steering column support.
Is this correct or are extra mounting points required that I can't see in photos.
Regards,
DonT

Mikuni Carb
Can anyone tell me how well a 34mm Mikuni gas carb will work ok on a stock 91B. Would the Hartman manifold that uses an iame reed block be of any benefit?
thanks

Re: SAE Kart Build
Would like to know the correct distance from the front of the seat hoop to the centre hole on the front seat cross bar mount.
Also need to know rear axle width (4.50x5 or 4.10/3.50 rears) and front track (narrow 3.50x5 fronts).
Will also have a few more questions as build goes on.
Thanks,
Don
