Re: WTB Rod Ends for 1961 Dart

I checked Summit again and I still don't see a rod end with a female 3/8-24 RH and 5/16 hole in the ball. They have one with a 3/8-24 thread coming off of it but that's the opposite of what I need. I'll call K & P Monday, sure hope they have them. Thanks for everyone's input!

Re: WTB Rod Ends for 1961 Dart

Thanks Ted. Yes I tried McMaster, their the bible! They don't list any 3/8 with a 5/16 hole. All of the manufacturers list rod ends with the same diameter threads and ball i.d. Makes me wonder if its a safe practice type of deal. I'll give K&P a call. If I strike out there it looks like my best bet ...

WTB Rod Ends for 1961 Dart

I've got a 61 dart and I'd like to replace the heim joints on the steering linkages. The steering rods are a standard 3/8-24 thread on both ends and the balls have a 5/16 hole in them. I searched the archives and didn't see any post about where NOS or new rod ends can be bought. I've searched rod en...

Re: Heat #1

Gave you a thumbs up! Looks like you should have got Best of Show and People's Choice too. Little guy at the end is precious. :? Fortunately you've got a little time to look for the perfect kart for him. Keep the video's coming.

Re: Throttle rod set up?

If you get some pictures, I'd like to see them too. I have a 61 Dart Road Runner that has mounts for twin engines and when I got it (in 1967) there was a 1" wide u shaped sheet metal clamp that anchored the throttle cable conduit at the throttle pedal rod. I used the clamp and the conduit was prone ...

Help identifying an old kart

Hi gang. I had a young man contact me after looking at a couple of my youtube videos of my Dart. He's got and old kart that he's trying to identify. The pedals appear to be cast aluminum and I think I've seen them on vintage karts. The steering parts also look to be better than a yard kart. I promis...

Re: What Carb for WB Rookie 500 Engine?

Hi Terry, Thanks for the reply and info! It looks like this engine doesn't use a reed block, is that correct? I wish I could find a parts book. I don't know what all they used this engine for but mine is a model 50052 and has a strange end on the PTO with a couple sets of threads. This crank doesn't...

What Carb for WB Rookie 500 Engine?

Can anyone tell me what carb came on a WB Rookie 500 and/or what carb(s) will fit and are calibrated so that they work correctly? And does anyone know where I can get (a copy of) a manual and part list? Thanks in advance! Don

Re: Splined Socket for Rod Bolts

Paul, do you have a catalog number for the socket set. I've Googeled the splined socket and seen a link to Sears tools but after looking at the set, I couldn't find a socket i the set that looks like it would fit a rod bolt. The closest identify I can find for this kind of head is a splined drive, B...
