WTB Mc 30 piston

Anyone have a NOS Mc30 piston at .005 over? I could also use the 40/45/90 version as well if no 30 is available. The difference is the 30 piston has no ring pins and the gap for the rod is narrower than the later versions. The skirt should measure 2.165" and these are full skirt pistons, not 9 port ...

Re: Introduction

The muffler is a similar to the McCulloch "VolumeTuned" pipe they offered in the mid to late 60s but the stinger is in the wrong place. The clutch is early Hartman that has been modified to use a plug in starter type nut. Most likely will have aluminum arms with riveted on hard linings for the shoes...

Re: My Latest Restoration

Scott,

Beautiful job. I have one that I plan to restore and I will need new upholstery.
Yours looks new.... did you have new made for it?
If so, I would like to get the source to see if I could get a set.

Seems like they already took over the White House based on recent events.

Re: Just for looks.

Speaking of fragile rods... that's a 10 type rod in the engine shown in the photo. Since the crank has had extra weights added on I would guess the engine is bored way over size and has a big=heavy piston hanging on the other end of that rod. That's a bad combination... a heavy piston on the weakest...

Re: Need Mac thin piston rings - 2.125 +.030

Terry, A set of standard rings from any of the 100cc model engines will work with just a small trim of the ends. Stock bore on the 7,8,9,30,40,45,90, 91 and after are all 2.165 If they are a little used that is even better. If you can't find any let me know and I'll dig some nice used ones out of my...

Looking for a two or three Mac super series head shrouds. Painted or plated, aluminum or steel all will work.
Cracks and dings OK but must be full width, not cut or trimmed.
Email direct to let me know if you can help.

Re: Mean Machine ?

Did the party you bought the stuff from say the engines were actually used on that kart? Something doesn't add up... one engine has a belt drive pulley that can only be used with an axle clutch but the kart appears to have standard Azusa sprocket hubs. The fuel tanks have the common modification for...
