Re: McCulloch Yellow Paint Party

Sorry, I was not trying to sound mean or picky. Just trying to understand what he was saying. I try to keep posts short and concise, but sometimes that may come off offensive. Now about the paint party. I do like the looks of the yellow urethane. I hate shooting rattle can, because of the obvious. N...

Re: McCulloch Yellow Paint Party

I just visited your website. I dont understand this statement on the ID page. "McCulloch engineered the Super series block to bring the flywheel side bearing in closer to the centerline of the crank." The standard and super blocks have the case bearings in same location. Are you making reference to ...

The lever is only properly set when its metering enough fuel to satisfy demands of the engine.

Re: Finger Port Depth ?

IAME tried the leading boost port on a run of the factory modified K-88's back in the early seventies. They did abandon the idea tho. Never heard any more about it. I remember selling one of those cylinders on ebay a few years ago. Instead of drilling holes in a Power Products piston, just use a "6-...

Re: 580 West Bend Questions

If you are worried about too much volume just add a super stuffer and/or full circle crank. Dont think the added volume is going to hinder the gains. Not in the rpm range these motorss run. Nothing wrong with just loose needles instead of cages. Both work fine. Have you ever removed a Power Products...

Re: Older model HL Tillotson carburetors

I am betting those settings are measured from top of carb body. LIke with using a depth micrometer. I have never needed to raise higher than thickness of the arm itself above flush on gas carbs. That should be very close to his measurements.

Re: Finger Port Depth ?

I have a Mc 90 block that has never been mollested. The fingers are almost same height as intakes. Not nearly low as ones in pic. They dont need to open before the intakes. With the tolorences in production, slightly lower would yield fewer scrap parts. These boosters must have been a last minute de...

Re: Wanted MC10 piston

Why not just use a Mc 49 piston. I think those would be a little easier to locate. Like a Wiseco 1030 P1.

Re: mac 92 seals

I know this is what a lot of guys are using for the mag seal. I have not purchased any of them yet. But the crank measures 17mm or .669 diameter. The 6763 is for an 11/16 or .688 shaft. Has anyone pressure checked these after running a while to make sure they maintain a good seal? On an old intercha...
